Bowl Final
May 8, 2005
Brentwood B 27 - Farragut 7
Brentwood B looked to regain the bowl after last year's narrow loss
to Cordova. They didn't waste any time and scored in the first few minutes
after an early jail break. Brentwood's danger man and Tournament MVP Steve
Reese continuously made breaks with speedy deftness for which the Admirals
had no answer. One of those runs set up the second try with a break down
the wing, then a nice off-load to the scrum half who finished off the
play with an easy score.
Farragut's fullback Thomas Riddle did all he could to keep his boys
in the game with booming kicks and smooth runs, but could never fully
get away. Though Brentwood controlled the better part of the game, Farragut
took the fight to the end and were rewarded with some excellent runs and
support to
score towards the end of the game to avoid the shut out.
